Awards/ Company Manager – StarQuest Performing Arts Competition

WHO: StarQuest Performing Arts Competition, a leader in its industry for the past 17 years.

SEEKING: NYC and NC based immediate replacements for one of our Awards/Company Manager positions.

AWARDS/COMPANY MANAGER: Custom organizes awards table for every awards ceremony. Co-creates the awards agenda for each ceremony and is final check of accuracy for auditor's scoring. Presents all awards on stage as emcee announces them. Sets up awards station backstage. Responsible for all trophies, medals, ribbons and cash awards including repair of medals/trophies plus a thorough inventory of all awards each weekend. Must love children, think very fast on your feet and make excellent impression on stage. Must be comfortable working both backstage and on stage. Needs a strong sense of organization and ability to prioritize awards preparation with conversing with the dancers. Must have initiative and great pride in maintaining a tidy, well organized work environment. Company Manager: Overall responsibility for every aspect of the staff and company needs. Handles all food and checking Weekend warriors & judging in and out of hotels! Manages accuracy of Merchandising departments. Shares responsibility on teacher questions, interpretation of competition rules, staff issues and judge concerns with Tour Manager. (Tour Manager has final say on ALL aspects of a StarQuest Weekend.) Must also possess detailed and intimate knowledge of StarQuest rules & policies. Needs strong diplomatic and people skills.

WHEN: The regional touring season runs 15 weekends, not including Easter:
-Training Part 1: January 18-22, 2010
-Tour 1: runs from February 2-May 23, 2010
-Tour 2: runs from February 9-May 23, 2010
-Tour 3: runs from February 23-May 23, 2010
-This position is Non-Union.
-Competitive salary plus commission.
-Travel, food & lodging provided.
-Intensive paid training for all positions on site in actual facilities.
-Those signed must be available for ALL shows and have open availability.
-Must be able to travel from New York City airports. 
-Travel Thursday through Monday includes setup, show & strike.
