Box Office Manager; Company/House Management
Small commercial Off-Broadway musical seeks a Box Office Manager and a Company/House Manager. Both positions are full time, Tuesday through Sunday.
Box office manager needed to perform normal box office functions including customer interaction, liaising with theatre and production staff, filling group sales orders, reconciling box office reports, etc. Ability to provide genial customer service, good communication skills, and prior box office experience are essential. This person must display honesty, integrity, and patience at all times. Although this is a Telecharge box office, previous Telecharge experience not necessary – we will train on Telecharge. Training will take place during the week of July 2 (date is flexible). Box office opens July 10, afternoon and evening hours only, Tuesday through Sunday.
Company/House Manager needed for small off-Broadway musical. Responsibilities include liaising with box office, company members, theatre staff, producer, press agent and advertising agency. This position is ideal for someone who likes problem-solving and is curious to learn about many aspects of theatre. Knowledge of Excel and Word are essential as are good communication and organization skills. Company management position will begin around July 2. House management responsibilties will begin a few weeks into performances.
Each position is non-union and salaried.
