SEEKING: a Capital Projects/Government Affairs intern

The Capital Projects and Government Relations Department is
responsible for the construction and renovation projects as well as
fundraising from government sources. Currently, the Public Theater is
finishing the restoration of our Landmark façade and preparing for a
major renovation of the first floor of 425 Lafayette Street.

The Capital Projects/Government Affairs intern will join this two-person department, gaining experience primarily in government fundraising and project management.

RESPONSIBILITIES: assisting in the drafting/editing of government grant applications, reports, & correspondence; contacting city and state government offices for information/ meeting scheduling; maintaining government contacts in Tessitura database; entering/tracking financial data; light filing and clerical work. Requirements: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; experience with Tessitura is a plus.
