WHO: The New Group

SEEKING: Director of Development to strategize, manage and direct the organization's fundraising programs

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Creating fundraising strategies, writing and/or reviewing grant applications, and managing the annual campaign, including direct appeals, special events, and the Annual Gala. In addition, the Director is responsible for forecasting the theatre’s fundraising potential, identifying, cultivating and effectively stewarding individual and institutional donors and designing and implementing donor recognition programs.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must have a strong background in the cultivation, stewardship and solicitation of donors; a proven track record as a manager of successful fundraising campaigns; be well-organized and able to plan strategically; be highly personable and enjoy participating in social events; work effectively and collaboratively with trustees, donors and staff; and have strong written and verbal communication skills. Five years of experience and an interest in contemporary arts and theatre is required.
