WHO: The American Place Theatre

SEEKING: Full or Part-time Education Intern

RESPONSIBILITIES: Contacting prospective bookers and administrative record keeping related to an accelerated initiative to market the Theatre's nationally-renowned and innovative Literature to Life program to national venues; Assist the Associate Director in updating pre & post assessment tools used in the field for stage presentations, residencies, and professional developments; Assisting Master Teaching Artists in NYC based stage presentations; reporting out on all performance and residency programs; processing student letters, video footage, and drama-in-education activities; general support to teaching artists and administrative staff.

REQUIREMENTS: 1-2 years previous experience in an administrative role in supporting position, preferable with a strong background in customer relations, marketing and sales; Familiarity with and interest in the fields of Arts/Theatre/Literacy Education; Strong proficiency in Excel and MSWord; familiarity with Mac OS preferred; Must be accurate and detail-oriented, possess strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing priorities; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Ability to work in an open and casual office environment; ability to work either independently or collaboratively as needed.
