SEEKING: General Manager
RESPONSIBILTIES: Responsible for management of operations at the STREB Lab for Action Mechanics, the General Manager will work in concert with the Development Director, Finance Manager and will report directly to the Executive Director. The General Manager will be responsible for the implementation of all education, partnership and community programming including direction of the POP Action School and supervision of the Director of the Espana/STREB Trapeze Academy. Additionally, the General Manager will oversee SLAM’s rental program and will supervise support staff including front desk reception, facility maintenance and cleaning staff, front of house management and SLAM concessions.
REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate for this position will have 2-3 years of arts management experience and a background in movement education. The ideal candidate will also be self-motivated and enthusiastic, have a strong sense of civic responsibility and a desire to engage with the public. It will also be extremely important to be an effective communicator, a good writer, to have an entrepreneurial sensibility and a very positive attitude.
WHEN: Start date for this position: prior to August 1, 2010
PAY: Salary is commensurate with experience
