Group Sales Coordinator – Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater

WHO: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater

SEEKING: One of the world’s leading dance companies is seeking a self-motivated, well-organized, and personable Group Sales Coordinator to work on our upcoming New York performances.

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will sell and process group ticket orders for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s New York City Center season in December 2010, as well as Ailey II’s New York season in April 2011.

Additionally, this position will also promote group visits to The Ailey Studios, the largest facility dedicated to dance in America.

REQUIREMENTS: Ideal candidates will have previous ticket-selling experience and be comfortable and confident interacting with patrons in person and on the phone. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required. Knowledge of customer relations database software a plus.

WHEN: This is a seasonal position — not year-round — working for a maximum of 39 weeks between July 6, 2010 and April 30, 2011.
