WHO: Samuel French, Inc.

SEEKING: Samuel French, Inc., a theatrical play publishing and licensing company since 1830 located in Manhattan, is hiring a Licensing Associate.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The position will include heavy phone and computer work, processing and clearing stage performance rights for the Professional and Amateur theatre market.

Further responsibilities will also include but are not limited to:
Communicate with author and author’s agents.
Provide timely and accurate processing of website, phone and fax rights requests.
Working with accounting department to resolve customer account issues.
Processing and shipping rented production material.
Collections of outstanding licensing balances.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have strong customer service skills and provide precise follow through. In addition they must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and have the ability to prioritize their work.

Applicants must enjoy working as part of a team. However, on occasion, you will be working alone, therefore an ability to show and use initiative will be very important. Computer experience is required (including Word, Excel and Outlook). Having a theatre and/or arts background is strongly recommended.
