SEEKING: Marketing Director

RESPONSIBILITIES: The planning, directing, and coordination of the marketing strategy and sales activities of both organizations. This position reports directly to the Managing Director. The Marketing Director oversees marketing and sales staff, including front of house operations. Working with the Managing Director, Artistic Director, and marketing consultants, the Marketing Director takes the lead in developing and managing the organizations short and long range marketing and sales goals and objectives, and maintains marketing and sales data. The Managing Director directs and oversees marketing operations, sales operations, audience development, advertising sales and sponsor relations.

REQUIREMENTS: Qualified candidates will have a demonstrated track record as a marketing/sales management professional, a thorough understanding of marketing/sales, an ability to prospect, cultivate, and manage new accounts, a history of achieving sales revenue targets and/or quota of over $1 million annually, and posses excellent communication, management, and leadership skills. A minimum of 5 – 10 years marketing/sales experience required, preferably in the performing arts and ideally in theatre. Good computer skills and knowledge of relevant data base programs required.
