Media Production/Video Editing Apprentice – The New 42nd Street, Inc/New Victory Theater

WHO: The New 42nd Street, Inc./New Victory Theater. The New Victory Theater presents a diverse season of programming for youth and families including theater, dance, circus, vaudeville, puppetry and music from around the world. We seek out sophisticated, thought-provoking, professional productions that are as artistically rich as they are stimulating and entertaining.

SEEKING: Media Production / Video Editing Apprentice

RESPONSIBILITIES: Working with the Manager of Media Production, the apprentice will film and document the work of the New Victory Theater on 42nd Street and in schools across the city.  The apprentice will have the opportunity to assist with projects that include marketing materials, development promotions, grant submissions and more.  Possible independent projects to be given based on experience and interests

REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of Final Cut Pro, digital video and digital photography required.  Applicants should have interest in documentary, new media strategies, and non profits.  Experience with sound editing, graphic design, basic animation and Motion 2 preferred.

PAY: $7.25 per hour

WHEN: 18 – 20 hours a week from October 11th – December 18th With the possibility of a January – May extension and pay raise
