Description:
Prominent Broadway designer seeks part-time office assistant/studio manager. Candidate should have experience working in a theatrical office environment as well as have a basic vocabulary for talking about scenic design. The ideal candidate is poised, creative, organized, detail-oriented, able to work well in a fast-paced environment, and a good problem solver.
Responsibilities include:
-Managing design calendar and contacts
-Processing bi-weekly payroll and accompanying timesheets
-Shopping for and ordering design-related supplies and other miscellaneous items needed to help the studio run
-Tabulating and processing reimbursements
-Corresponding with various theatrical organizations
-Organization of office including keeping all systems up to date
-Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel) on both PC and Mac computers
-Proficiency with Photoshop is a plus
The ideal is candidate is ultra-organized (ideally with a possible Stage Management background), has a facility for working with numbers and light accounting, enjoys organizing with an eye towards updating or creating new organizational systems, and is trustworthy. As we work in a very close environment, focus and tact are key components every applicant must possess.
