SEEKING: OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organize and research purchases for theatrical and office equipment and supplies. Function within the online purchasing system.
Research and chart multiple supplier bids for best rates.
Solicit bids or prepare bid invitation sheets for Purchasing Office.
Prepare, monitor and follow through with purchase orders throughout season for each department.
Maintain wish lists and projected purchase charts for Operations Director.
Light physical labor (moving and lifting boxes of files)
Administrative responsibilities:
Assist Operations Associate with data input and reports, proofing calendars, filing, creating excel charts, escorting tours and other tasks as needed. Assist with general office receptionist duties. Provide occasional support on production duties.
REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must possess good organizational skills, and the ability to keep track of multiple details on varying projects. Must have good telephone, internet, writing and email skills. Experience and patience with large institutions and bureaucratic procedures is a plus. Knowledge of higher functions of Word, Excel, Database (Access), as well as a basic familiarity with technical theater is required.
WHEN: IMMEDIATELY
PAY: Hourly rate of $16 (based on experience) per hour paid on a biweekly basis.
