Patron Services Representative Coordinator – TKTS

SEEKING: Patron Services Representative Coordinator

RESPONSIBILITIES: Hire, train, manage and supervise a team of TKTS Patron Service Representatives and volunteers. Greet TKTS patrons and provide patrons with non-biased information about Broadway and Off- Broadway shows including but not limited to a synopsis of the show, approximate cost with posted discounts, etc. Explain to TKTS patrons how TKTS works (i.e., where to line up, how long it will take, strategies on choosing a number of shows, etc.) Direct those TKTS patrons, who may have limited knowledge of the theatre district, to the theatres. Help with questions of age appropriateness of certain shows. Providing additional services as requested when appropriate (i.e., directions, local dining, lodging and travel information) to enhance the TKTS patrons’ visit. Suggest and implement special events/giveaways on holiday weekends. Act as an ambassador for the TDF brand, providing superior customer service that will create lifelong TKTS patrons. Conduct TKTS patron research (surveys, etc) as needed. Remain informed about current events in the NYC theatre industry and special events on Duffy Square. Availability to work during holidays when theatre attendance increases. Additional duties as assigned in coordination with TDF staff members (i.e., Executive Director, Managing Director, Communications Director, Outreach Coordinator)

REQUIREMENTS: Outgoing self-starter with extraordinary people skills. The ability to easily and pleasantly manage large numbers of TKTS patrons in an oftentimes chaotic outdoor environment. Must posses sound judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Must have had at least two years of leadership experience in customer service, audience development and/or marketing for the theatre, related arts or tourism field. A passion for and knowledge of the theatre is a must.
