POSITION TITLE: Public Relations Intern

DESCRIPTION: Richard Kornberg and Associates, a busy theatrical publicity firm located in the heart of Times Square, is currently seeking college students for summer 2013 internships. You will be exposed to
all of the day-to-day ins and outs of theatrical publicity as well as the relationship between the press
office and the media, producing teams, general management, talent, artists, and advertising agencies.

Candidates must be detail-oriented fast-learners with a genuine interest and knowledge of theatre
and/or dance a plus, superior organization and writing skills, professional phone manner, outgoing
personality, working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop a
plus.
Duties will include but not be limited to: assisting with servicing daily press clippings, compiling and
proofreading information for press releases and Playbills, attending and helping cover media events,
interviews and promotional appearances by cast members, running errands around the
Times Square area, helping with administrative duties around the office (including answering a busy
switchboard) and providing general assistance to press agents with the ongoing maintenance of their
shows. Scheduling is extremely flexible, part-time is OK. This is an unpaid internship, but interns
receive Metro cards and complimentary tickets to shows handled by the office. School credit can also be arranged.
