Publicity Intern – O&M Co.

WHO: O&M Co., a New York-based full service public relations firm that serves everything from the Broadway world to the music business to world-class non-profit institutions. O&M Co.’s current clients include the Broadway revival of Hair, Disney Theatrical Group, Primary Stages, MCC Theater, Cafe Carlyle, Birdland, and Williamstown Theatre Festival, among others.

SEEKING: A highly motivated and outgoing intern with an interest in entertainment public relations.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Interns will assist press agents on all aspects of campaigns, including press kit preparation, press releases and mailings, press clippings and press books. Additional duties include administrative functions and phone coverage. Interns will also have the opportunity to attend Opening Nights, photo shoots and interviews with account managers, and will receive free tickets to all of our shows.

REQUIREMENTS: Ideal candidates will possess problem-solving and multi-tasking skills, excellent people skills, a strong work-ethic, and enjoy a fast paced work environment. An interest in theater, music and the performing arts is a must. The candidate should also have Word/Excel/Outlook skills — knowing how to use Photoshop is also a plus.

BENEFITS: This position offers a weekly stipend and monthly MetroCard, and school credit can also be arranged. Ideally, the candidate will be able to commit 3 to 4 months, and be able to work at least 4 days a week.
