The Sunday Giveaway: 2 Tickets to Cirque du Soleil’s Zarkana

Do you know why The Tony Awards were booted from Radio City this year?

Answer – the steamroller known as Cirque du Soleil.

The new summer Cirque show, Zarkana, has taken up residence at Radio City for our warmer months, and the hope is that it will become yet another Radio City seasonal show, just like those holiday high-kickin’ rockettes.

I’m betting that it’ll be back again next summer, and the summer after that as well.  Because despite last year’s Banana Shpeel misfire, if there’s one company you can count on for audience-exciting entertainment, it’s Cirque.

Cirque is one of the most fantastic rags-to-riches stories of the last 30 years.  The founders started as street performers, and with a little help from the Canadian government, blew their company up into one of the biggest live entertainment producers in the world.

In fact, if there was one company that I would vote “Most Likely To Go Public,” it would be Cirque.  Read their wiki entry here.

But enough about that, let’s get you some free tickets.

The Sunday giveaway will give you a chance to see their latest incarnation for free.

How do you win?

This week is easy.  Comment below the answer to this question:

When you were a child under the age of 10, did you go or were you taken to the Circus (any circus)?  A simple yes or no will do, and I’ll pick a winner randomly.

And we’ll also see if the Circus is a rite of passage for every kid out there.

Go!
