Stage Managers, Designers and Producers – Gallery Players

SEEKING: The Gallery Players in Park Slope is seeking designers, stage managers and administrative staff for its upcoming Black Box New Play Festival which takes place in June 2011.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Festival is seeking several stage managers. Two of the positions will be stage managing two full-length plays which open the Festival on June 2nd and June 3rd. Stage managers will be at rehearsals in May and will run whichever show they are stage managing. Each full-length play will have a total of nine performances in June.
A third position is for a PSM who will run the three weekends of short plays in June. That person will be present for the tech. for each weekend and the running of those shows. The position starts June 4th and runs through June 26th.
The festival also seeks people who are interested in helping produce the festival. They will be associate producers who will help the lead producer ensure the smooth running of the festival. These people need to be organized, self-starting problem-solving enthusiasts who have leadership skills.
Also seeking a sound designer, a costume coordinator and a set coordinator. The sound designer will provide sound for each play as needed as well as transition music/sound as we move from one play to another. The costume coordinator will consult with directors as to what actors will wear and provide help obtaining unusual costume items. The set coordinator will advise directors as to what set items would work and advise as to lay-out.
