SEEKING: Non-AEA Assistant Stage Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES: As an Assistant Stage Manager you are responsible for being an all around support system for actors, technical staff and the Art Team. You are required to know the run, order and cues of the show. You must understand the show thoroughly and completely in order to be successful as an ASM. Candidate will be responsible for setting and maintaining the props for each show. Candidate will also be responsible for attending “brush-up” rehearsals and maintaining appropriate paperwork. Productions include Platanos and Collard Greens and Fuhgeddaboudit!-Spaghetti and Matzo Balls. REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate will have experience in theater, has called shows previously, have basic knowledge of sound and light boards. Candidate MUST be comfortable with light touring (1-3 day trips). Be able to lift at least 20lbs.
WHEN: Interviews will be held sometime in December, a final date to be announced at a later time. Please bring a cue book (if applicable) and examples of paperwork you have created (ie: flow sheets, costume lists, light plots, etc.). Job starts 1/1/2011.
PAY: $65-$100 a show.
