On June 30th, A Beautiful Noise will play its final performance on Broadway.

We will have played 692 performances.  That means 1,384 chants of “So good, so good, so good!”

We are one of the highest grossing and longest running new musicals to open in Broadway’s new (and challenging) post-pandemic world.  

And I couldn’t be prouder.  What a journey it has been!

It all started in 2018, when one phone call changed the trajectory of my life.  I remember where I was.  I remember what I was wearing.  And I remember the voice on the other end asking me one question . . . “Ken, do you like Neil Diamond?”

I mean . . . 

That call led to a meeting with Bob Gaudio and then a meeting with Mr. Diamond himself.  Then I was having breakfast with multiple Academy Award nominee, Anthony McCarten . . . who I still can’t believe put his busy Hollywood demands on hold to whip out draft after draft . . . then my ol’ pal Michael Mayer . . . and two years later we had a show.

Enter covid stage left and another two years later we finally got to perform that show in Boston.  And then, on December 4, 2022, we opened on Broadway – a night I will never forget.  (Neither will the internet, because Mr. Diamond broke it that night when he did this.) 

Now almost another two years later, we’ll say goodbye before heading out on a giant sized, multi-year national tour.  (Oh and stay tuned for international announcements, too.)

I’ll have a lot of people to thank over the next several weeks.  But for now, I’ll just say this . . .

You’ve got 18 weeks to see the show.  Only 139 performances.  It’s not as much time as you think.  And the tickets will go quickly, because, in case you haven’t heard, Mr. Diamond has a lot of fans all over the world.

So if you haven’t seen it, because maybe you thought you knew Neil Diamond (you don’t – believe me), or because you thought we’d be around for a decade, now is your last and final chance.
