Congratulations to the Top 10!

And now . . . the fun part!  Finding out who wins ‘da money!

In the past, we’ve had a 10 Minute Play Festival at my theater to debut the Top 10 and to pick the winner of the $500.

But, since the goal of this contest was simply to get Writers writing . . . we realized that that element restricted those from other parts of the planet from participating (and producing a play, even a 10 minute one, takes a lot more than 10 minutes!).

And so, this year, we’ve taken our festival online.

Our judges, Chris Coleman (Artistic Director of Portland Center Stage), Beth Blickers (Literary Agent at Agency for the Performing Arts) and moi will read all of the Finalists and vote for our favorite.

But wait.  I’m forgetting a judge.  Oh wait . . . it’s YOU!

For the first time, we’re putting the complete 10 Minute Plays online (just click the title of each Finalist above to read each one).  Read them (it won’t take you long), and then vote for your favorite here.  The winner of the audience vote will be submitted with the judges’ vote to pick the ultimate winner, who gets the $500.

And let me tell you, that audience vote can be the difference.  So read, enjoy and then vote!

The winner will be announced right here on this blog on May 6th.

Good luck!
