Broadway Grosses w/e 10/19/2025

Broadway slipped modestly this week, with total grosses down 3.11% from last week to $38.19M despite attendance rising slightly to 277,744. The decrease largely reflects a correction from the holiday weekend bump, though several productions still posted standout numbers. Hamilton once again topped the chart with $3.76M and an average ticket of $350, holding steady at 101% capacity. Wicked followed closely with $2.27M, maintaining full houses at the Gershwin, while The Lion King saw a bump of $225K to $2.05M. The Queen of Versailles continued strong in previews at the St. James, earning a compelling $898K from 6 performances, while Art remained a sellout at the Music Box, adding $23K for a nine-performance week that reached $1.79M.Among openings and previews, Ragtime officially opened at Lincoln Center’s Beaumont on October 16, grossing a healthy $1.05M. Chess began previews at the Imperial with a full-capacity $1.20M debut. On the other end, Mamma Mia! saw a minor dips but remained at capacity, while Aladdin (-$177K) and Death Becomes Her (-$179K) reflected the week’s broader softening. Compared to the same week last season, grosses rose 11.44%, signaling a notably stronger October season even amid a post-holiday dip.

CHESS began previews at the Imperial and opens on 11/16.
ART had a nine-performance week.
Please note that Indigenous Peoples’ Day/Columbus Day weekend fell within the week prior. Last season, it fell within this week (Week 21).
THE QUEEN OF VERSAILLES had four previews with 1,311 seats and two previews with 1,635 seats this week, for a total capacity of 8,514. As this report cannot accommodate both capacities, the number of seats is displayed as 1,419.
