Broadway Grosses w/e 4/12/2026

Broadway held steady this week, with total grosses edging up 0.79% to $43.58M while attendance surged to 344,459 as a wave of new openings and continued spring tourism kept houses full. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child again led all shows at $2.71M playing to a near-sold-out Lyric, while Hamilton followed at $2.35M. The Lion King pulled back to $2.33M on a standard eight-show week after its spring break surge, and Wicked slipped $209K to $1.91M after playing nine shows the week prior. Moulin Rouge! The Musical jumped to $1.71M, while Chicago jumped $312K to $1.49M. Every Brilliant Thing maintained its remarkable $1.54M haul to a sold-out Hudson, and Dog Day Afternoon and Giant remain standouts among plays at $1.23M and $1.22M respectively.

Elsewhere, Chess surged $510K to $1.10M, and Death of a Salesman, which officially opened to strong reviews at the Winter Garden on April 9, saw an uptick with a healthy $1.15M. This week also saw official openings for Becky Shaw, Cats: The Jellicle Ball, and Titanique, with The Fear of 13, Proof, Fallen Angels, Schmigadoon!, The Balusters, Beaches, The Rocky Horror Show, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, and The Lost Boys all still in previews ahead of their upcoming opening nights. Compared to the same week last season, grosses rose 2.88% and attendance climbed 6.66%, signaling continued strong demand heading into May.
