Broadway Grosses w/e 4/19/2026

Broadway pulled back sharply this week, with total grosses falling 10.32% to $39.08M and attendance dropping to 327,269, as the spring break surge faded and the marketplace shifted to a heavier preview schedule ahead of several upcoming openings. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child reclaimed the top spot at $2.38M, while Hamilton slipped $403K to $1.94M. The Lion King fell $516K to $1.81M on a return to eight performances, and Wicked tumbled $563K to $1.35M. Every Brilliant Thing continued its extraordinary run, ticking up to $1.57M at a virtually sold-out Hudson, while Death of a Salesman climbed $129K to $1.28M on a seven-performance week. Dog Day Afternoon held firm at $1.11M at 100%+ capacity, and Giant remained steady at $1.22M also on seven shows.

Elsewhere, Moulin Rouge! The Musical dipped slightly to $1.66M, Ragtime held at $1.15M at a full house, and Cats: The Jellicle Ball crossed the $1M mark for the first time at $1.01M. Stranger Things: The First Shadow posted a steep $432K drop to $973K, and The Outsiders fell $279K to $874K. Compared to the same week last season, grosses were down 11.50%, though the season-to-date total of $1.71B remains 6.02% ahead of last year.
