Broadway edged up 2.44% to $38.22M in a Tony Awards week that delivered some notable swings but left the overall market largely flat, with attendance of 318,338 across 40 productions. Death of a Salesman continued its impressive run at $1.83M to a sold-out Winter Garden, while Hamilton surged $229K to $2.10M. The Lion King held near $1.95M, and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child had the week’s largest jump from $531K to $1.57M. Oh, Mary! ticked up to $1.50M, MJ climbed to $1.53M, and The Lost Boys crossed $1.36M. Wicked recovered $87K to $1.42M, and Ragtime remained a steady presence at $1.30M at a full house.

On the downside, Moulin Rouge! The Musical dropped $141K to $787K as summer softness set in, and The Rocky Horror Show fell $172K to $940K on a seven-performance week. Maybe Happy Ending, Just in Time, and Hadestown also posted slower weeks, slipping to $689K, $741K, and $823K respectively as Tony night attention concentrated demand on a handful of titles. Compared to the same week last season, grosses were down 16.52%, though that comparison reflects last year’s Tony-adjacent spike rather than any underlying weakness.
