Broadway Grosses w/e 12/03/2017: Light up the tree and light up those grosses!
Holiday shopping time is truly upon us as the first weekend after Thanksgiving has come and gone. And while the lighting of the Rockefeller tree usually presses the pause button on ticket purchases for a few hours, the street proved pretty resilient and held its own against the previous Thanksgiving week.
And of course, we were up over the same frame from last year, grossing over $10mm more (Thank you, Bette Midler and Bruce Springsteen).
Some standouts were the recently opened Parisian Women doing a strong $689k and Waitress well over $1mm (and just wait until you see this gross double when Sara Bareilles comes back to the role that she wrote).
And I’d expect all grosses to go up next week . . . including my own for Once On This Island after those reviews! (Yes, shameless plug.)
