Broadway Grosses* w/e 2/26/2017 – Felt like summer out there!
Greetings Gross Fans!
Not only did we have summer-like temps, but we had summer like grosses, too!
Another good week for Broadway courtesy not only of that warm spring weather we had last week, but because of the public school vacations that had Tri-state kids needin’ something to do, and had tourists flocking to the city.
Family shows were a big hit during this frame (makes sense, right?). And of course, Hamilton did another $3mm.
Dear Evan Hansen continued to impress, doing over a million in the intimate Music Box, and look at A Bronx Tale go with almost a million dollars, after a previous week of over $1mm.
Unfortunately, just like the weather, the business can turn quickly. Expect the grosses to drop with the temperature this week.
