Broadway Grosses* w/e 3/12/2017 – The Grosses That Go Right!
Greetings Gross Fans!
Although winter storm Stella is whipping its way down Broadway today, and will certain wreak havoc on next week’s numbers, today we’re talking about last week . . . and those numbers are much sunnier.
Not only are our grosses up from last week, but we also saw a slight rise in attendance this week as well. Two shows, Amelie and my own The Play That Goes Wrong, certainly helped add to both of those bottom lines.
We’re also in the middle of what we call “rolling spring breaks.” Some private high schools are off, colleges are off, and many of those families and student groups take trips to the city for their vacation. That’s why the big blockbusters, tourist-friendly shows saw upticks last week and will continue to see strong sales over the next couple of weeks.
