Broadway Grosses w/e 4/15/2018: No snow, but still some slippage.
Broadway came off it’s Easter week highs last week, and was off over 8% from the same period last year, mostly due to the differently placed Easter/Passover holiday breaks celebrated by most public schools.
And with only two weeks to go in our season, all the shows that will open this year are a runnin’ so don’t expect our grosses to jump any more just because we add another show. Cuz there ain’t no more to add.
Nope. Now we have to earn our high grossing weeks on just our merits.
But this week is another public school break for some, so I’m predicting a rise from these grosses as we get closer and closer to Tony nomination time.
The question is, will all the shows that are open now, stay open after those nominations come out?
