Broadway Grosses w/e 5/19/2019: On The Road Again

As we close in on the end of this Broadway season, the box office seems to have settled in at $35M, which is just a Morrissey short of last week. 37 productions brought in over 310K in total attendance.

With The Broadway League’s Spring Road Conference last week, touring presenters and out of town Tony voters flooded the city to be wooed by productions vying for road bookings and votes. As a result, the average ticket price dropped $3.12 from last week due to many complimentary tickets.

Last week’s standouts were Hadestown and Oklahoma!, whose grosses continue to climb even as many other shows’ grosses have dipped.
