SEEKING: Signature Theatre Company, one of New York’s leading off-Broadway theatres, is looking for a Deck Carpenter for its production of Tony Kushner’s THE ILLUSION. Deck Carpenter reports directly to the Production Stage Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Back stage run crew for all technical rehearsals, rehearsals before previews, understudy/put-in rehearsals, and performances of THE ILLUSION
• Preparing stage and back stage areas for each technical rehearsal and performance
• Performing any post show duties as identified by the Production Staff.
• Assist in maintaining scenic and prop elements throughout the run
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates should have excellent carpentry, communication and organizational skills and be able to work independently. A well-rounded production background is preferred.
