Development Manager – Ars Nova

SEEKING: Development Manager to oversee all fundraising efforts for Ars Nova including individual, foundation and government support, corporate relationships, and special events. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Development Manager will collaborate with senior staff to establish fundraising goals and to develop short and long term strategies to diversify and grow the contributed income for the organization
RESPONSIBILITIES: Developing an individual giving program; identifying, cultivating and soliciting major gifts; participating in Board development; coordinating and overseeing grant applications; and planning and executing special events. Activities will include prospect research; creating proposals and reports to foundations, corporations, and government entities; and maintaining donor tracking systems.
REQUIREMENTS: Three to five years of fundraising experience, a proven track-record of soliciting and securing donations for an arts organization in New York City, and knowledge of the theatre and performing arts community in New York. The ideal candidate will also need to have strong management and prioritization skills, be comfortable representing the organization at all levels, and possess a keen eye for detail.
PAY: This is a full-time salaried position with benefits. Hours vary and the position will require some evening work. Salary commensurate with experience.
