Fun on a Friday: It’s time for the Broadway Draft.

Since we’re down to only a couple summer Fridays left, I thought I’d take a break from all my market talk of this week and have some fffffun.  Here’s a video that spooftastically asks, “What if there was a Broadway draft just like the NFL?”  It features some great Broadway stars including James Monroe Iglehart, Andrew Keenan-Bolger . . . and my favorite anchorman-who-looks-like-a-Broadway-star Frank DiLella from NY1.

It’s a funny video for sure, but honestly, I think there’s something deeper to it as well.  It was about thirty years ago that colleges and pro sports teams started looking at middle school and high school kids for the stars of tomorrow.  Broadway is just starting to do this now (Jimmy Awards, anyone?) . . . so maybe this Broadway Draft isn’t so far away?

You be the judge.

And happy Friday!  (Can’t see the vid? Click here!)
