Chelsea employs over 23 lighting professionals and is one of the largest lighting distributors in the area. Chelsea Lighting meets the lighting needs of a broad client base. Its mission is to assist clients in successfully solving the most challenging construction projects and exceed expectations for quality and on-time delivery.

SEEKING: We are seeking a Lighting and Controls Specialist for the following opportunity:

QUALIFICATIONS:
• College Graduate
• Architectural and/or Theatrical Lighting and controls experience
• Switching experience a plus
• Construction experience a plus
• Proficient in MS Office/Excel/Outlook
• Superior Organizational skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Must have the ability to meet deadlines, handle various projects simultaneously, work effectively in a demanding environment and be willing to go the extra mile

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop a new business initiative in an existing lighting distribution firm
• Manage, grow and train future hires
• Required to learn technical state of the art products and services for new market niche
• Initial travel required to vendor locations domestically to become familiar with products and associated technology
• Prepare take offs
• Analyze and compare alternative manufacturers equipment and software
• Identify/ troubleshoot problems and bring to resolution
• Work closely with Sales and Project Management teams
• Handle end to end processes: Estimates, Quotes, Sales and Project Management
• Utilize Proprietary software
• Conduct submissions review

• Attain Leeds Certification if not already certified
