WHO: New London Barn Playhouse (New London, NH 03257)
SEEKING: Props Master
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
-Build, borrow or purchase all the necessary props and dressings for 7 show season
-Working closely with the Guest Director, Costume Designer, Lighting Designer and Scenic Designer to achieve cohesive production quality.
-Ability to solve multiple tasks in a time sensitive manner.
-Work in a team-oriented atmosphere
-Supervise and guide assigned performance interns
-Personally participate in load-in of assigned show
REQUIREMENTS:
-Preferred 2 – 3 years professional experience in Props or equivalent
-Must have experience in artistically demanding environments
-Excellent knowledge of fabrication techniques and resources
-Excellent time management skills.
-Excellent personal, organizational and communication skills
-Ability to motivate, manage and coordinate staff members of varying skill levels
-Well-established skills in handling budgets and scheduling
-Commitment to safe work habits and shop practices is required
COMPENSATION: Pay includes a season stipend of $2500, it will be distributed in three payments over the course of the summer. In addition all housing and meals are provided.
