Sound Engineer- Merry-Go-Round Playhouse

WHO: Merry-Go-Round Playhouse

SEEKING: Sound engineer assist the Sound Designer (SD) in the full range
of activities necessary for the load in, strike, and upkeep of all sound
for the summer season

RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates sound board for all techs and
performances. Coordinates with the Orchestral Conductor and Production
Stage Manager (PSM) for the location and set up of band gear, music
stands, clear com, and video monitors. Prepares wireless microphones
for shows and tech runs. Leads the transfer of musical instruments from
the rehearsal space to theatre. Attends all production meetings as
requested by the SD or PC. At all times works in a manner conducive to
safe working procedures and conditions.

REQUIREMENTS: Must be comfortable working at heights (ladders,
genie lifts, and scaffolding), be able to lift 50lbs, and be able to
stand on feet for long periods of time.
MUST HAVE experience mixing large scale musical
theatre with live orchestras. AEA/AFM performers.
