Stage Manager – Political Subversities
WHO: Political Subversities – Featured on MSNBC, Huffington Post, Gawker, Bust Magazine, Ars Nova, Joe's Pub and all over the internet, Political Subversities is a weekly live comedy show at the Peope's Improv Theater that uses songs and sketches to satire current events.
SEEKING: Political Subversities is seeking a stage manager to begin training as soon as possible.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Presence at Thursday rehearsals 7-10pm (moving to Wednesday in summer) with basic SM duties that will be detailed by directors.
-Presence at Saturday rehearsals and performances with basic stage management duties. (6pm to 8:30pm rehearsal, 9:30 to 10:30pm show)
-Weekly administrative duties such as arranging rehearsal space, sending admin forms, sending rehearsal reminders etc.)
WHEN: Job Start Date – 4/1/2012
PAY: This is not a paid job, but is perfect for students, anyone interested in comedy, politics or (obviously) political comedy, anyone looking to network in the New York comedy scene or anyone new to New York and looking to work with a group of dedicated, fun professionals.
