Stage Manager – The Ohmies

WHO: THE OHMIES (www.theohmies.com), an interactive musical for preschoolers in which characters use yoga to inspire children to think about how to make friends, get along with siblings and overcome fear and anxiety.

SEEKING: full-time non-union Stage Manager to join New York production

REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be extremely detail oriented, self-motivated, hard working, highly organized, and team leaders. Excellent communication skills, professional manner, and a desire to collaborate are vital. Previous Stage Management experience is required. Off-Broadway experience is preferred, but not required.  Candidates must be willing to submit to a criminal background check.

WHEN: Stage Manager must be available to attend all rehearsals (currently scheduled to begin in early December) and all performances (currently scheduled to begin in early January).  Tentative weekly performance schedule: Thursdays and Fridays at 11am and 3pm; Saturdays at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm; and Sundays at 3pm.  The run will close at the end of January, with the strong possibility of an additional open-ended NYC run commencing this May.

RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to running rehearsals; creation and maintenance of a blocking and calling book; running understudy, put in and cast replacement rehearsals; calling the show; running the light board; possible other general technical duties; overseeing the cast/crew; and day to day operations of production at the theatre.

PAY: $650/week
