Who won the tickets to Rasheeda Speaking?
Jodie Foster, George Clooney, Mel Gibson . . . these were just a few of your nominations for great actor-directors (luckily for Mel, being a great person isn’t one of the requirements for being a great director).
Personally, I’d like to see more actor-directors on Broadway. Sure, we’ve got Joe Mantello, and this season David Hyde Pierce takes a turn, but wouldn’t you love to see Nathan Lane direct a comedy, or Audra McDonald direct a musical?
While we wait for those dream shows, let’s give away some tickets.
James Armstrong, come on down! You won the tickets (and the signed playbill) to Rasheeda Speaking at The New Group! Email me to get your tickets.
And now, I’m going to be obsessed with coming up with ideas for other great Broadway actors that would be good directors. You have ideas? Give ’em to everyone below!
