POSITION: General Manager

DESCRIPTION: Second Stage Theatre seeks a General Manager to oversee the daily administrative operations of one of off-Broadway’s premiere not-for-profit theatre companies in a time of exciting expansion. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: management/negotiation of artists’ contracts, union relations, company management, lease negotiation, and management of all front of house activities including box office/ticket services. A key member of the senior staff, the General Manager will also work closely with the Executive Director on the acquisition, renovation and operation of the Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway. The ideal candidate will have excellent written/verbal communication and budgeting skills, a sharp eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects at once. Significant experience working in theatrical management is required. Generous benefits package including health/dental insurance and 401(k) plan included.
