POSITION: Production Department Coordinator
DESCRIPTION: Blue Man Productions, the parent company of the theatrical production Blue Man Group, is looking for a Production Department Coordinator to support our Production team. The ideal candidate will balance a working knowledge of production management with excellent project management skills. The position is highly administrative, and requires the ability to efficiently assemble and coordinate information, documentation, workshops, and meetings for multiple department heads. This role reports to the SVP, Production and is the primary administrative support for the SVP, Production, VP, Production, and Resident Technical Director.
Responsibilities include:
- Tracking and reconciling financial data, including projects budgets and departmental expenses
- Handling project research, bidding, and procurement
- Coordinating departmental meetings, workshops, and other projects
- Agenda preparation, minute-taking, filing, and record-keeping
- Managing travel arrangements, both domestic and international, for production staff
The Production Department Coordinator interacts with other Blue Man Productions departmental staff, Blue Man Group show staff, and external vendors. S/he will ensure accurate and timely communication between the Production department and all other departments in the company. Candidates should have excellent interpersonal and follow-up skills, and the ability to multitask within a busy work environment. Must be an organized, motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail and proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and basic data management software.
