SEEKING: Actors for "Aftermath". Please read character descriptions carefully. Submit only if you are right for one or more of these roles and you are available throughout the rehearsal/performance period. ALL ROLES REQUIRE AN IRAQI ARABIC ACCENT. MOST ROLES CONTAIN AT LEAST A FEW WORDS OF ARABIC. Producer especially encourages actors of Middle Eastern descent to submit. 

Abdul- AVAILABLE ROLE. Iraqi man, late 40s – late 50s. An imam, with the charisma and gravitas of a born teacher. Dignified and deeply religious, he was one of the most important Sunni imams in Iraq. 

Yassar- AVAILABLE ROLE. Iraqi man, early 30s – early 40s. Handsome, cocky, charismatic dermatologist. Intelligent and extroverted, with a little swagger. Loves American pop culture, and fancies himself a very cool guy. 

Fouad- AVAILABLE ROLE. Iraqi man, late 30s – early 40s. A cook, married to Naimah. Working class; works with his hands. Good-humored and a bit macho. Loves his wife; they have a warm, affectionately contentious relationship. 

PAY: LOA Tour (approval/salary level pending; Producer expects to pay $700/week abroad (plus per diem) and $696/week in US (plus per diem). Housing and transportation are also included).

WHEN: 1st reh. (NYC): On/about September 28, 2010. Tour runs 10/5/10 – 10/31/10
