SEEKING: (all roles are available)
Millie Dillmount:
Woman, 20s, any ethnicity. Attractive, young, “modern” woman from Kansas who originally intends to marry for wealth rather than love. Determined, endearing, smart and clever, yet somewhat naïve. Role for a strong mezzo soprano/belter with excellent comedic timing. Must be an excellent dancer with strong tap experience and strong physical comedy.
Jimmy Smith:
Man, 20s – early 30s, any ethnicity. Attractive, young paper-clip salesman with charisma, spunk and a buoyant personality. Handsome and confident, but not overly so. Actor must have a strong high tenor to a sustained A, and move very well.
Trevor Graydon III:
Man, 30s, any ethnicity. The head boss of Sincere Trust Insurance Co. Looks like a movie star, and knows it. Has an air of sophistication and entitlement. Bass-baritone.
Miss Dorothy Brown:
Woman, 20s, any ethnicity. Classy, old-fashioned beauty. Sheltered from anything other than regal living, until arriving at Hotel Priscilla Residence for Young Ladies. Performer must be a strong mover and have great comedic timing. Soprano.
Mrs. Meers:
Caucasian woman, 40s. Sinister former-actress-turned-criminal who disguises herself as a Chinese proprietress, but in reality kidnaps young ladies for a white-slavery ring in Hong Kong. Performer must have excellent comedic chops. Alto.
Ching Ho:
Chinese man, mid 20s – early 40s. A henchman, in on Mrs. Meers’s schemes. Falls in love with Dorothy. Role requires a strong tenor with excellent verbal and physical comedy.
Bun Foo:
Chinese man, mid 20s – early 40s. A henchman, in on Mrs. Meers’s schemes. All business, and constantly focused on getting his job done. Role requires a strong tenor with excellent verbal and physical comedy.
Muzzy van Hossmere:
African American woman, 40s-50s. Second wife of her late husband. Glamorous, wise, stands out in a crowd. Sophisticated and classy. Mezzo/alto.
Miss Flannery:
Woman, 30s – early 40s, any ethnicity. Head Stenographer at Sincere Trust Company. A total curmudgeon. Sarcastic and brazenly honest. Performer must be a very strong belter.
REQUIREMENTS: Please prepare a short musical theatre song in the style of the show. Bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided, but may not transpose. Please bring a photo and resume, stapled back-to-back.

PAY: Co-production: Paper Mill Playhouse, Millburn NJ, COST ($800/week minimum), Maltz Jupiter Theatre, Jupiter FL, LORT (Currently $765/week minimum)
