SEEKING: Non-AEA Actors for Smacker & The Highway performing at PlanetConnections Theatre Festivity this June.
REQUIREMENTS: Auditions are by appointment only. All actors must have a flexible look, especially principals.
Hitchhiker: His own person. A Jack Kerouac/beatnik figure. PreferablyMid 20's to Mid 30's.
Lily – Smacker’s mother. Kind woman, Late 30's to mid 50's.
Larry -Smackeà's father. Has gone through a lot in life and hardened by it. Late 30's to mid 50's.
The Housing Man – GENDER BLIND, a strong villain, authoritativefigure. Goes with the rules, does not question authority. Any age.
Verna – the kind of gal you’d find working in a diner in upstate NY! Any age.
Gorilla Leade r- The brains behind the Protesters. Any age.
Sylvia – Post or pre -op transsexual. A part of the protesters. Has her own opinions and is the type that doesn't take anything from anyone. Any age.
Protesters: Any age is appropriate. They are a traveling folk troupe that has gotten into the Occupy Wall StreetScene. Playing an instrument is a plus!
