Actors for “We The People” – TheatreworksUSA

WHO: TheatreworksUSA – "We The People"

ABOUT: This is a musical. All actors must be funny, quirky, versatile performers along the lines of Saturday Night Live or Forbidden Broadway. All actors must be strong singers with a pop sensibility. Ethnic performers encouraged to submit. These are not the founding fathers you know from the history books, but 4 rockin’ revolutionaries, America’s original boy band, who travel in time to teach Dawn about the importance of the American Government. **note- performers do not play instruments in the show**

ALL ACTORS ARE SIGNED ON AS ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGERS, and will be required, as such, to lift scenery, costumes and sound equipment during daily load-in and load outs (up to 60 lbs).

SEEKING:
George Washington- Male, 18+, baritenor. Charismatic leader (and lead singer) of the Founding Fathers rock band. He makes girls swoon.

Thomas Jefferson- Male, 18+, rock tenor. The romantic of the group. He’s a rock star and he knows it. And he’s not afraid to put on a dress if it helps make a point.

John Adams- Male, 18+, high tenor to B with very strong falsetto. Pugnacious and quick tempered. And he can rap. He’s a pretty cool dude. He’s the drummer for the band.

Benjamin Franklin- Male 18+, baritone. He may never have been president, but this is one smart guy. The quirky one.

Dawn- Soprano with high mix belt to F, 18+ to play 14. The character is non-Caucasian (African American, Hispanic, Asian, etc). Smart, driven, fiercely competitive and ambitious, like Tracy Flick from Election or Rachel Berry from Glee.
