ABOUT: 90-minute rock and roll extravaganza featuring some of the greatest songs ever written by man, woman and/or beast. The formula is simple – take three outstanding rock singers, give them a full band, lots of lights, a fog machine, video projection screen and more knowledge about Power Ballads than is necessary (or recommended). Throw in some comedy, big hair, animal-print spandex and a t-shirt cannon and the audience leaves the theater entertained – and cultured. Music includes timeless hits such as… “Sister Christian”, “Faithfully”, “November Rain”, “Come Sail Away”, “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”, “Dream On”, “We Are The Champions” and many more.

SEEKING:

Dieter:
Man, mid 30s. Best friends w/Randy since high school. Smart, funny, appealing. Through high school in the late 80s/early 90s, he was bookish and somewhat nerdy, but he’s grown into a more confident/ better looking guy. If there’s anything nerdy about him still, it’s his obsession: he has a PhD in Literature with a focus on the power ballad as epic verse. And though his nickname is still “Loser”, he’s getting closer and closer to attracting the rocker chick of his dreams. Doesn't deny who he was back then and accepts that all of that made him into the person he is today. Must have comedic chops, improvisational skills, and a great Rock voice. Songs include “Home Sweet Home” by Motley Crue, “Faithfully” by Journey.

Randy:
Man, mid 30s. Dieter’s best friend/protector since high school. His glory years were in high school as the leader of the popular band Ditchweed; life since then has been about recapturing those feelings/ reminding everyone how cool he is. Still good-looking, but looks are fading. Compensates w/an exaggerated Rock Star persona. Still passionate about the music, but has begun to realize that he may have peaked in his senior year of high school. Must have comedic chops, improvisational skills, and a great Rock voice. Songs include “Sweet Child of Mine” by Guns ‘N’ Roses, “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” by Poison.

Katy:
Woman, mid 30s. Surprising blast from the past who accidentally interrupts the show. Attractive professional w/an edge. Though she appears to have a callused corporate exterior, reliving the music from her high school years loosens her up & reveals that she is very funny, sarcastic & somewhat caustic, yet vulnerable. And though she’s matured, she hasn’t lost the sex appeal that made her popular in high school. Must have comedic chops, improvisational skills, and a great Rock voice. Songs include “Alone” by Heart, “Here I Go Again” by Whitesnake.

WHAT TO PREPARE: Prepare a brief rock song that shows off range. Feel free to sing songs from the show. Bring sheet music; accompanist provided. Please bring a picture & resume, stapled together.
