WHO: The Mud/Bone Collective

SEEKING: Design assistants for Impossible Country, a performance project that sheds light on the diverse experiences of refugees fleeing injustice and persecution and beginning new lives in New York City.

HISTORY OF THE PIECE: In the spring of 2009, Mud/Bone conducted workshops and interviews with asylum seekers from Iraq, Rwanda, Pakistan, Colombia, Egypt, Serbia and Russia. We are now continuing to develop the project and will tour a full-length version to communities in the boroughs, along with a run in Manhattan in June 2- 5, 2010.

Rehearsals are ongoing from now until June, generally Monday, some Tuesday & Thursday evenings, and Saturdays & Sundays.
