Broadway Grosses w/e 10/26/2025

Broadway saw a modest dip this week, with total grosses down 3.19% to $36.97M and attendance holding steady at 277,000. Hamilton continued to lead the pack at $3.45M—down $317K but still performing at 101% capacity with a $321 average ticket. Wicked held strong at $2M, The Lion King slipped $170K to $1.88M, and Mamma Mia dropped $36K to $1.6M, reflecting the overall mid-October cooldown. Meanwhile, the new season’s biggest musical power player Chess jumped $656K to $1.86M at nearly full capacity and a $184 average ticket.Several plays held their own amid the dip. Waiting for Godot stayed strong with $1.81M and a sold-out week at the Hudson, while Art grossed $1.67M with near-perfect attendance. Ragtime saw one of the biggest upticks of the week, up $212K to $1.26M in its second week post-opening, maintaining full houses at Lincoln Center. On the preview front, Liberation and Little Bear Ridge Road neared their openings with modest but steady gains, and The Queen of Versailles continued strong pre-opening business, climbing $64K to $962K. Compared to the same week last season, grosses rose 6.58%, signaling healthy year-over-year growth even as Broadway settles into its fall rhythm.You can find the rest of the figures below, courtesy of The Broadway League:

The first-ever New Jersey Night on Broadway took place this week, with 21 participating shows.
THE QUEEN OF VERSAILLES had five previews with 1,311 seats and two previews with 1,635 seats this week, for a total capacity of 9,825. As this report cannot accommodate both capacities, the number of seats is displayed as 1,404.
