Broadway Grosses w/e 11/2/2025

Broadway stepped back this week with total grosses down 8.36% to $33.88M, largely due to a historically low-attendance period surrounding the Halloween holiday. Nearly every show declined week-over-week, including top earners like Hamilton (holding strong at $3.45M, only off $13K) and Wicked (flat at $2.00M). The Lion King dipped $148K to $1.73M, reflecting a broader slowdown in family tourism, while Mamma Mia! fell $206K but continued to pack the Winter Garden at $1.4M.The week brought several new productions to the boards. Oedipus began previews with a sold-out $485K across just four performances. Two Strangers started strong with two previews at $188k, nearly selling out the Longacre. Compared to the same week last year, grosses were down 2.76%, a sign of seasonal tightening — but with a dense slate of November openings ahead (The Queen of Versailles, Chess, Two Strangers, Oedipus, Rob Lake Magic with the Muppets), the market has ample fuel to heat back up.You can find the rest of the figures below, courtesy of The Broadway League:
