Broadway Grosses w/e 8/10/2025

Broadway saw a slight boost this week, with total grosses up 1.57% from last week to $31M, buoyed by increased attendance (up over 12,000) and a strong preview launch from Mamma Mia!, which sold out its first full week back at the Winter Garden with a gross of $1.57M across seven performances. On the softer side, Hamilton dropped $526,748—a likely byproduct of specially priced 10th anniversary performances midweek—though it still landed among the top five earners with $1.7M and over 101% capacity. Wicked and The Lion King remained the top two draws, each grossing above $2.2M.Compared to the same week last season, overall grosses rose a modest 1.57%, with tourist-friendly titles continuing to dominate the million-dollar club: AladdinThe Lion KingWickedThe OutsidersHarry Potter and the Cursed Child, and MJ all held steady. Strong sellouts persisted for Just In TimeMaybe Happy EndingJohn Proctor Is the Villain, and Purpose, each exceeding 100% capacity thanks to premium pricing and consistent demand. With Mamma Mia!’s official opening this week and several summer titles sustaining momentum, Broadway remains well-poised heading into late August. You can find the rest of the figures below, courtesy of The Broadway League:
