The surge was anchored by Hamilton, which leapt an extraordinary $1.63M to $3.78M, fueled by premium pricing around the return of Leslie Odom Jr, boasting an average ticket of $352 and premiums topping $1,200. The Lion King (+$241K), Aladdin (+$312K), and The Outsiders (+$249K) also enjoyed significant gains, reflecting a strong post-Labor Day recovery boosted by the launch of NYC Broadway Week on September 8. Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club similarly benefited, jumping $249K to $629K and filling over 90% of seats following the announcement of their upcoming closing date.Several newcomers added fresh momentum to the boards. Waiting for Godot began previews at the Hudson with a sold-out $367K, commanding an eye-popping $377 average ticket. Punch launched at the Friedman with $229K across seven previews, playing to a healthy 87% capacity. Meanwhile, Art continued to impress in previews, grossing $1.35M at near-full capacity, while Mamma Mia! sustained its strong post-opening trajectory with $1.58M and full houses at the Winter Garden. While Hadestown (-$88K) and Oh, Mary! (-$63K) saw minor dips, the overall trend was strongly upward.
